Jeff Luzer

Haysville - Luzer, Jeffrey, 59, died Thursday, May 27, 2021 following a long illness.

Memorial Service: 2:00 pm, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Smith Mortuary, Haysville.

Jeff was born in Canonsburg, PA and attended Canon-McMillan High School. He moved to the Wichita area, ultimately settling in Haysville, to work in the aircraft industry, initially at Gates Learjet, and then Boeing. Upon departure from Boeing, Jeff returned to his hobby performing mechanic work, both automotive and small engine. He was buying so many mower parts from the local mower repair shop, they asked him to work for them, which he ultimately did.

Jeff’s fun-loving nature and varied interests garnered him many friends. From football pot-lucks and summer cookouts, to projects and repairs in the shop, friends were his joy. He thrived when amongst his friends, rendering whatever assistance was needed.

He was preceded in death by his sibling and his parents, Richard and Dorothy Luzer.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Jean Luzer; two sons, Jack Baird and Ian Luzer (Hannah Van Horn); 4 grandchildren, Jaiden and Xander Baird, Lucius and Miciah Luzer; mother of his children, Susan Hamill; aunt, Shirley Brown; and his faithful four-legged companion and princess, Maggie.
