Jeffrey Lynn Kastning

Wichita - Jeffrey Lynn Kastning, 65, passed away August 31, 2025. He was born April 4, 1960 to Guy Verlin Kastning and Judith Yvonne Kastning (Winegarner) in Wichita, KS.

Jeff attended East High School in Wichita and spent his career working in the automotive industry, where his detail-oriented nature and strong work ethic earned him respect among his peers. Those who knew Jeff would describe him as a fun-loving guy who liked to have a good time, yet was also hard-working and easy-going in his approach to life.

Jeff's greatest joy was spending time with his family, most especially on and near the water. To hear his enthusiastic storytelling was to participate in an adventure re-lived. Whether perfecting his fishing technique or enjoying a family day on the boat, Jeff found deep happiness in these moments.

Jeff is survived by his son, Jarod A. Kastning (Taurii); two beloved grandsons, Loren and Joss; and his sisters, Robyn Armstrong (Kenny) and Becky Clancy (Chris).

He was preceded in death by his first love and wife, Teresa A. Kastning.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Smith Family Mortuaries Derby Chapel, followed by committal at El Paso Cemetery.
