Jeffrey A. Gorden

Jeffery A. Gorden died unexpectedly on June 30, 2016 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 48. Jeff is survived by his parents, Jess and Jeannie Gorden of Lake City, IA; children, Jobi Gorden of Lake City, IA, Caleb Gorden, Jessica Gorden and Zach Gorden, all of Wichita, KS; siblings, Kim Shugar (Jeff) of Sioux City, IA, Scott Gorden (Rhonda) of Lake City, IA. He is preceded in death by his son, Trevor Gorden. Jeff was born May 27, 1968 in Lake City, IA. After moving to Wichita, he began work in 1994 as a mechanic. He was a proud father of 5 and a proud grandpa of 2 with another grandchild on the way. His children remember him as loving and honest as well as their handyman. Jeff was working as an operator toward his lineman title over the last twenty years. He was a hard working individual who loved his work and was extremely passionate about it. Jeff would often lend a hand to anyone in need without expecting anything back. Funeral service 11am Thursday, July 7, 2016, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. A reception will follow at 5471 Midland Street, Wichita, KS. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jeff's life by sharing memories.
