Jeffery Joe Rodriguez, age 56, AMI Metals employee, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021. Visitation 1-8 pm Friday, April 23, with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, celebration of life service 10 am Saturday, April 24, both at Smith Mortuary, Mulvane Chapel, 501 SE Louis Blvd. Jeffery is preceded in death by his daughter, Lacey Firestine; paternal grandparents, Joe and Macaria Rodriguez; and his maternal grandparents, Russell and Stella Lupton; and several lifelong friends. Survivors include his wife, Paula Schild; son, Blake Nelson (Deserae); daughters, Kyrie Hock (Andres), Shaneille Nelson (Robin Smith); father and stepmother, Joe and Melissa Rodriguez; mother and stepfather, Phyllis “PJ” and Steve Rucker; brother, Paul Rodriguez; 15 grandchildren, several aunts, uncles and cousins.. Jeff was an easy going man and loved music and hanging out with his friends. He will be greatly missed. A memorial has been established with St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 ST.
