Jefferson A. “Mac” McAbee, of Rose Hill, age 76, retired Tech Sargant, USAF, and retired Boeing Company employee, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Thursday, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Graveside service 11 AM Friday, El Paso Cemetery, Derby. “Mac” is preceded in death by his parents, Preston & Armenta McAbee. Survivors: his wife of 31 years, Sandy; stepdaughters, Gayla Carlyle and Julie (Little) Moore, all of Rose Hill; sister, Sara Ferrell, of Chester, SC; stepgrandchildren, Carlie (Justin) Williams, Clayton Carlyle, Ashley Little (Don Carpenter), and Tosha Little; 3 step great-grandchildren.
