73, passed away Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021. He was born February 2nd, 1948 to Jeff Mitchell and Amy Austin Mitchell in Essex, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1975. Jeff retired from Honeywell after 34 years as an Avionics Technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by granddaughter, Kayla Mitchell.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda, of Derby; sons, Jeffrey (Erica) and Jeremy (Emily); grandchildren, Donnie, Austin, Jonathan, Christopher, Nicholas, and Amber; two great grandchildren, Rwby and Jackson, all of Wichita; and a sister, Judith (Donald) Balla, of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Visitation: Sunday, September 26th, 2021, from 2 to 7 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Monday, September 27th, 2021 at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
