Jason Carriker

Belle Plaine – Jason Dale Carriker, 43, passed away on October 16, 2025. He was born on September 27, 1982, in Wichita, Kansas, to Lloyd Carriker and Debbie Turpin.

Jason had a deep love for movies, music, and dancing, and he cherished every moment spent with his family. He also found joy in working on small engines. Jason will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and the light he brought to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Cornett; father, Lloyd Carriker; uncle, Bo Carriker; and uncle, Ray Turpin.

Jason is survived by his son, Dean Richardson; mother, Debbie Turpin, and stepfather, John Turpin; stepmother, Deb Carriker; grandmother, Shirley Cornett; brothers, Jeremiah MacKinnon, Avery Carriker (Tarry Carriker), Luke MacKinnon (Sara Schofield), and Alex MacKinnon; sisters, Nicole MacKinnon (Ross Main), Anna Nelson (Quinn Nelson), and Molly Franco (Omar Franco); uncles, Steve Cornett (Sherri Cornett) and David Turpin; aunts, Dena Sannella (Tony Sannella) and Shirley Sportsman; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew who will all carry his memory in their hearts.

The family will hold a private celebration of Jason’s life. During this difficult time, they kindly request privacy.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in Jason’s memory.
