Wichita – English, Janice M., 68, Was called home Sunday, January 12, 2025. Born on June 9, 1956 to Charles (“Chuck”) Fields and Jeanne Klein Fields, Jan was born and raised in Derby, Kansas. Throughout her childhood, Jan was an active member with the Girl Scouts, 4H, and was a charter member and past worthy advisor of the Derby Assembly 74 of the Order of Rainbow Girls. During her highschool time, she was also the concert mistress of Derby Senior Highschool and a member of the Wichita Youth Symphony, with a passion for playing the violin. Jan began working at Learjet in 1979 where she met her future husband, Monte English. The two were married on August 1, 1987 in Wichita, Kansas. Jan enjoyed many things including gardening, photography, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her dogs. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Monte; and by her parents, Charles and Jeanne Fields. Jan is survived by her daughter, Charlie (Damon) Mader; sister, Carole (Marvin) Moser; grandchildren, Makenzie Mader and Jaydon Mader; and nieces Julie (Mat) Salyers and Amy (Josh) Gilbert.
Visitation: Friday, January 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary (115 South Seneca; Wichita, Kansas 67213) with family present from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral Service: Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Fellowship (190 South Rock Road; Wichita, Kansas 67207) Internment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Chapel Fellowship (190 South Rock Road; Wichita, Kansas 67207).
