Janet Frances Powell, age 75, of Mulvane, homemaker and Bible teacher, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 15, 2013. Visitation 1-8 PM Tuesday with family receiving friends 6-8 PM, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 2 PM Wednesday, First Baptist Church, 1020 N. Second, Mulvane. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver, Wichita. Janet was born August 19, 1937, to William Hunter and Lola S Knobloch. She was a 1955 graduate of East High School in Wichita. She and Russell Lowell Powell, were married, August 28, 1955, in Wichita. Janet is preceded in death by her parents; son, Russell Dean; daughter, Connie Jeanne; brother, Dr. William H. Knobloch, Jr.; and a sister, Jeanne Goughler. Survivors include her husband, Russell; son, Tim (Cyndi), of Derby; daughters, Julie Dianne Hautau (Charles), of Falls Church, VA, and Vicki Jeanne Crudele (Virgil), of Seymour, CT; sister, Margie Baker, of Wichita; grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Bryna, Trevor, and Violet Hautau, Tara Van Fleet, Mark Russell, Jenna Melilli, Casey Smith, Sara Stone, and Corie Champagne; great-grandchildren, Daegan, Bella, Pixie, Page, Hunter Russell, Aurora, Sierra, Leslie, Nikkolette, Harlee, Helayna, Aspen, Kylie, and Kaiden.
