James A. Michau, age 93, retired owner of C & A Sales, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Visitation 1-8 PM Thursday with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 AM Friday, February 1, Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn Ave., Derby. Burial will follow at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. Jim is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois; and his parents, Joseph & Martha Michau. Survivors include his wife, Rose; daughters, Judy (Frank) Nesmith, Reidsville, GA, Carolyn Mayfield, Wichita, Pat Mickey, Kirksville, MO, Kathy (Ron) Mayne, Heber City, UT, Sherri Schott, Derby; brothers, Robert (Cindy) Michau, Wichita, Edward L. Michau, Siloam Springs, AR; sister, Beatrice D. Hooper, Derby; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
