McDowell, James "Jim"

83, entered into eternal life on July 15, 2020 at his home in Wichita, KS. He was born August 22, 1937. The son of William Isaac McDowell and Laura Mae Wheat McDowell. Jim is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Laura and John Steelquist of Hawaii; a sister-in-law, Nell McDowell of Yukon, OK; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was enlisted in the military during his younger years where he played an instrument in the band. He worked for various insurance companies after moving to Wichita to live with his nephew and niece. Jim also worked for Big Lots, was a bus driver for First Student, and held various other odd jobs. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
