Wichita - Harris, James F.
89, a retired District Chief for the Wichita Fire Department, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 24th, 2023. He was born April 21st, 1934 to Fred Harris and Carrie Laymon Harris in Wichita, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his son, Larry Harris.
James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Harris; son, James L. Harris; sister, Connie Lickey; granddaughter, Whitney Harris; five great-grandkids; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives; and by four legged baby, Lil Bit, his chihuahua.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary 115 South Seneca Wichita, Kansas 67213. Graveside Service: 10:00 am, Thursday, August 31st, 2023 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens 1806 N. Oliver Wichita, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Firefighters Museum, 1300 S Broadway, Wichita, Kansas 67211 or to a charity of your choice.
