James Forney Bryant

Wichita - Bryant, James Forney 92, loving husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather, passed away Thursday, May 5th, 2022. He was born December 27th, 1929 to Lane and Margaret (Culver) Bryant in Montgomery, Alabama. Jim was a retired auto mechanic and owner of Bryant Auto Repair serving the Hobbs, NM and surrounding West Texas community. He was a railroad enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters & three brothers. James is survived by his wife of 73 yrs, Violet "Peggy" Bryant; Daughter: Twyla Janiece (Ron) Belyea of New Brunswick, Canada; Son: Dr. R. Kevin (Sherlyn) Bryant of Wichita, KS; Grandchildren: Greg (Angel) Bryant of Shenzhen, China, Heidi (Andrew) Carpenter of Parker, CO; Great-Granddaughter: Hailey Carpenter. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17th, 2022, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with the Funeral Service immediately following at 10:00 am, both at Three Angels SDA Church, 4558 N. Hydraulic St., Wichita, KS 67219. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery-Eureka, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hobbs SDA Church, 6620 N. Grimes St., Hobbs, NM 88242.
