James “Jim” Wood, age 85, Retired Boeing Supervisor and Korean War veteran, passed away February 7, 2017. Visitation 1-8pm, family greeting 5-7pm Friday evening; Funeral 2pm Saturday, February 11, both at Smith Mortuary- Derby, 1415 N. Rock Road. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Dennis, Donna (Dennis) Zelinsky, Brenda (Carl) Christensen; 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth Wood, Justin (Carly), Greg, Bryan Zelinsky, Melissa (Aaron) Julius, Andrew (Jessica), Marc (Sarah) Christensen; 9 great-grandchildren, Roland Zelinsky, Nathan, Zachary, Allie, Aaron Julius, Caleb, Alexis, Haidyn, Kira Christensen; siblings, Charles (Beverly) Wood, Marie Bayless, Jeanine Teel, Linda (Ray) Purdy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Valora Wood; granddaughter Luisa Wood; sisters, Lorene Morris, Ruby Tabers.
