James Arthur Baumgardner

James Arthur Baumgardner, age 68, passed away August 6, 2016. A Wichita resident for 54 years, he was a member of Emporia Avenue Church of Christ. James was the author of eight books. Visitation 1-8 pm with the family to greet friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, Wichita. Funeral service 10am Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Emporia Avenue Church of Christ, 1144 S. Emporia, Wichita. James was preceded in death by his parents, Arnel and Elaine Baumgardner, and uncle, Art Sykes. Survivors: wife, Linda Baumgardner; children, Jimmy Baumgardner (Mary), Lori Dillard (Jeff), and Wendy Lamb (Steven); nine grandchildren, Caleb, Kyle, Timothy, Elizabeth, Chloe, Sarah, Corban, Autumn, and Christian; brother, David Baumgardner (Kim); and aunt, Jereta Sykes.
