Irene Emily Truett

Mulvane – Truett, Irene Emily, 93, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was born October 12, 1918, the daughter of Francis and Rose (Frank) Schick. On September 26, 1938, she married Raymond Truett in Canon City, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ray of Walsenburg, Colorado; grandchildren, Vicky Ray-Powell of Mulvane, Bonnie Humbolt, Mulvane, and Connie West of Virginia Beach, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Brianna Ray of Fayetteville, Georgia, Benjamin Humbolt, Mulvane, Brad Humbolt, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessica and Kevin West of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Andrea West of Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Bobby Ray. Visitation 1 – 8 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012, at Senter-Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane. Graveside service 1 pm, Saturday at Littleton Cemetery, Mulvane. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 South Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
