Irene V Adkins

Mulvane - Irene Virginia Adkins 87, Died Monday, August 7, 2023. She was born June 26th, 1936 to Elwood and Wilma Elliott in Altoona, Kansas.

Irene graduated from Oswego High School in 1954. She married the love of her life on June 27th, 1954. The family moved to Mulvane in 1964. She worked at numerous schools in the Mulvane community as a secretary. She loved travel, attending family reunions, sewing, scrapbooking and spending time with family. Irene was a very involved in many activities and projects at the Mulvane United Methodist church. She lived a great life and was loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Irene is survived by her husband, Ron Adkins, daughter Cheryl (Kevin) Cardwell, sister Kathy (Rex) Chamberlain, brother Don (Lynda) Haring, granddaughters: Cara (Todd) Leeds and Amy (Landon) Branine, great grandchildren: Anna, Hali, Adam and Lane, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Mulvane United Methodist Church 107 S. Central Mulvane, Kansas 67110.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the F.R.O.G. Diner at the Mulvane United Methodist Church.
