Ira Lycurgus Hall, age 89, of Mulvane, retired engineer, Beech Aircraft, and former Boeing Co. engineer, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Friday with family receiving friends 6-8 PM, Senter-Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane. Funeral service 9 AM Saturday, Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita. Ira is a graduate of Stonington, IL, High School and Eastern Illinois University. He is a US Navy veteran who was stationed at Pearl Harbor serving from April 1, 1943 to his Honorable Discharge on January 19, 1946. He was a Charter member of Mulvane Christian Church and had served as the President of the Mulvane School Board. He is a current member of Hillside Christian Church, a member of The Wichita Model A Club (he has restored two Model A’s) and a member of Mulvane Lodge #210 A.F.&A.M. Ira is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Olive Hall; brothers, Charles and John; sisters, Pearl, Mae, Estella and Mary. Survivors: his wife, Ruth Ann; son Michael, of Lawrence; daughter, Carol (Mark) Porter, of Madison; grandchildren, Michael Hall, Jr., Melanie Hall, Megan Porter and Eric Porter.
