Ida Mitchell, born April 13, 1939, passed away on October 3, 2026.
Ida is survived by her children, Jo Etta (Larry) hill, Gary Mitchell, Cheryl (Larry) Prothro; sister, Betty Shockley; grandson, Chris Mitchell, Nathan Prothro; great-granddaughter, Neaveh Prothro; and several nieces and nephews.
Ida was preceded in death by, her parents; siblings and son, Duane Mitchell.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037.
In honor of Ida, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
