Huleta I. Dowell.,age 83, went to be with the Lord, December 8, 2015. Retired from USD #261 Haysville, Ks. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Toney Dowell; son, Jimmie Dowell; granddaughter, Chasity Dowell; son-in-laws, Martin Reents, Timothy Carver, Charles Tackitt; parents, Hugh and Eva Hawkins; 4 sisters; 6 brothers. Huleta is survived by 11 children, Rita Hawkins of the home, Joyce Mikesell (Duane) of Derby, Patricia Brustrom of Cave City, AR, Theresa Dowell (John) of Atlanta Beach, FL, Barbara Reents of Canton, GA, Billy Dowell, Carolyn Goodson (Charles), Gene Dowell, Richard Dowell (Shelia), Mike Dowell (Patricia), Tonya Carver (Michael) all of Wichita; 28 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Visitation 1-8pm, family greeting 6-8pm Thursday, Dec. 10th at Smith Mortuary-Derby, 1415 N. Rock Road. Funeral 10am Friday, Dec. 11th at Midway Southern Baptist Church, 5135 S. Broadway St. Wichita. Graveside service will follow at 3pm at Highland Cemetery, in Iola, KS.
