Huey Douglas Jenkins went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 22, 2023, at age 89.

Huey Douglas Jenkins was born to Isaac and Grace Jenkins in Bugscuffle, Arkansas on September 23, 1934.

Huey served in the United States Army for 3 years and spent time in Korea. He was employed at Cessna Aircraft and retired after 42 years as a welder. He was with his cherished wife, Dixie “Yvonne” for 66 years. He was an avid gardener and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Huey is survived by his wife, Dixie Yvonne; his sons, Gary Jenkins, Terry Joe Jenkins and; his daughter, Rhonda Adams (David); His 12 grandchildren: Jason, Denise, Melissa, Brigette, Brandon, Christina, Jonathan, Heather, Dustin, Brynn, Michael, and Matthew; 23 Great-grandchildren and 7 Great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, October 30, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Monday, October 30, 2023, at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Branson Cemetery 11200 E. 47th St. S. Derby, KS 67037.
