Hubert E. Rainbolt

Hubert Enoch “Hub” Rainbolt, age 71, of Wichita passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. Visitation 1-8 PM Friday, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Funeral Service 1 PM Saturday, July 19, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Following the service, cremation will be effected. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. He was born June 21, 1943 in Snowball, AR, to Enoch & Ailene Rainbolt. Hub sold thousands of cars in the Wichita area for over 40 years. He loved anything to do with fast cars, whether it was driving them or watching them. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bentley Rainbolt; and sisters, Flon Smith and Donna Collins. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Taylor (Jason) and Becky White (Steve), all of Derby; and grandchildren, Gage and Dakota Taylor, Callie and Garrett White. He will be fondly remembered as a charismatic character with a big personality. He was hard to forget and they broke the mold after they made him.
