Howard Eugene Nicklin, Jr.

Howard Eugene Nicklin II, 86, of Haysville Kansas, passed away on June 24, 2021, peacefully in his bed.

A celebration of life will be held at the Smith Mortuary in Haysville Kansas on July 3, 2021 at 1pm through 5pm.

Howard was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 2, 1934 and graduated high school there before marrying his soulmate Adieth "Ada" Nicklin. He had a twenty-year U.S. Navy Career and a twenty-year career working at the National Steel & Shipbuilding shipyard in San Diego. He loved building things with his hands and was admired by many for his carpentry skills.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Adieth Nicklin, his parents Howard and Florence Nicklin; his siblings; Beverly, Pat, and Ron. He is survived by his children; Christine Heidelberg; Howard Nicklin III; Vickie Sutter; Mark Nicklin; Judy Nicklin; Jody Nicklin and his sisters Shirley and Lee Ann; his grandchildren, great grand- children family and friends.

On July 16, 2021 at 12:00 pm, (Miramar National Cemetery), Howard will have a service with military honors prior to his burial.
