Holly J. Higbee Obituary

Holly was born in Wichita, Kansas, on May 10, 1958, to Glenn A. Higbee and Helen J. (Nichols) Higbee.

Holly graduated from Winfield High School and Cowley County Community College. After graduation Holly worked briefly for MetLife before she began her 30+ year career at the Wichita Eagle newspaper. Holly completed her work life at Cargill where she worked for approximately 10 years.

Holly cherished family and friends. She had a huge heart and would help anyone in need. Holly was an avid animal lover, enjoyed photography and traveling.

Holly is survived by beloved niece, Traci Higbee; nephews Gary Wilson, Michael Wilson and Christopher Higbee; along with numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Holly is also survived by several cousins and beloved sister-in-laws Glenda Higbee, Marilyn Higbee and brother-in-law Billy Wilson.

Holly is preceded in death by her mother and father, Glenn and Helen Higbee; brother, Doug Higbee; and sister, Debra Wilson.

A celebration of Holly’s life is schedule for Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 am to 12:00 with the location, to be determined, in Wichita, Kansas.
