Hershel V. Masters

Hershel Masters of Derby, Kansas passed away on December 28, 2021 at the age of 93. He was born January 1, 1928 in Farlinville, Kansas to Grover and Leda Masters and was one of 12 children. Hershel worked as a print shop supervisor at Boeing Military Aircraft for 43 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He stayed an active member in the Cross of Glory Church for many years.

Hershel and Pauline Masters married March 4, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas and celebrated their 60th anniversary just prior to Pauline’s death in 2010. Together they raised 3 children; Chuck Masters (Janeen) of Lawrence, Marla Sholin and Connie Masters of Mulvane, along with 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Viewing will be held on January 5th from 4 to 8 p.m. Derby Smith Family Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday January 6th at 10:30 a.m. Derby Smith Family Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Mulvane Cemetery.
