Herman Dean Schlesinger

Wichita - Schlesinger, Herman Dean, age 77, retired iron worker, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010. Visitation 6-8pm Friday, December 10, with family present and 9am-2pm Saturday, December 11. Funeral Services 2pm Saturday, December 11, Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Edna (Goff) Schlesinger; sisters Lovell Coleman, Ruby Lilley, and Sue Hixson; and brother Vic Schlesinger. He is survived by his wife Darlene Schlesinger of Wichita, KS; sons Don (Bonnie) Schlesinger of Grass Valley, CA, Dan (Marsha) Schlesinger of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Mark Schleshinger of McPherson, KS; daughters Brenda (Terry) Poe of Mulvane, KS, Brenda (Curt) Gabel of Hays, KS, and Becky (Paul) Woodard of Arlington, TX; sisters Fata (Tom) Hand of El Dorado, KS, and Mary Brown of Montesano, WA; brothers Don (Diana) Schlesinger of Laguna Niguel, CA, Harold (Barbara) Schlesinger of Agoura Hills, CA, Joe (Abby) Schlesinger of Mesquite, NV, and Jon (Svenna) Schlesinger of Austin, TX; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
