Berends, Henrietta “Peach” (Benton), 82, homemaker, square dancer and baker, passed from this life to the next on June 23, 2011. She lived in Haysville nearly 60 years residing at Peachtree Plaza since 1993. Peach is preceded in death by husband Ray “Chick”, son Lenn E; grandson LeMonte Berends; sister Verta Rose. Survivors: daughters Verta “LaRae” Santiago and Robin and her husband Tom Kincannon, all of Wichita; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Viewing: 9-4pm Monday with family greeting friends 1-4pm at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway. Graveside service: 10am Tuesday, June 28, 2011, Waco Cemetery (95th and S. Broadway).
