Helen L. Phillips

Helen L. Phillips, age 83, entered heaven on September 13, 2016. Born and raised in Arkansas City, she taught school in Mulvane for many years. Helen was an active member of Hillside Christian Church and CWF. She was also a devoted volunteer for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Meals on Wheels. Visitation: 1-8 with the family to receive friends from 5-7 Monday, September 19, 2016 at Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane. Funeral service 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67206. Preceded in death by husband, Ben Phillips, and brother, Bill Ramsey. Survivors: children Sharon (Jeff) Barton, Clark (Brenda) Phillips, Warren Phillips, Lillian (Darryl) Bartlett, and Jenifer (Travis) Buttle; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St., Wichita, KS 67202 or Hillside Christian Church.
