Liby, Helen L. (Kline), passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Westview Manor Nursing Home, Derby, KS. She was born to Jacob and Mabel (Jones) Kline of Delphos, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Lloyd Liby, Sr. Helen is survived by her daughter, Marguerite (Richard) Stover of Ivins, UT; son, Lloyd (Karen) Liby, Jr. of Derby, KS; sister, Clara Taylor of Salina, KS; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and 21 nieces and nephews. She was a longtime resident of the communities of Miltonvale, Delphos, and Lincoln, KS. She was a member of the Rose Hill Christian Church. She served as a senior companion, babysitter for church and in her community, and various other community projects. Music was very important in her life. She continued playing the piano until after her 94th birthday. Helen enjoyed making quilts and gardening. Helen was a kid at heart. She will be greatly missed by her family, and friends. Helen’s faith in Christ was her life’s legacy to all her family and to all who knew her. She is joyful that she is finally with him in Heaven. Visitation: Tuesday from 3 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS. Funeral: 10 am, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Rose Hill Christian Church, 314 N. Rose Hill Rd., Rose Hill, KS. Interment will follow at Delphos Memorial Cemetery in Delphos, KS at 3:30 pm. Friends are invited to join the family after the graveside service at the Delphos Senior Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Hill Christian Church.
