Koker, Helen G., was born July 2, 1919 on the family farm in Brownell, KS. She had a full life and a great love for Western Kansas where she was raised. She was one of the first recyclers, crocheting balls from old plastic bags that she gave to children and older people who used them to exercise their hands. Helen is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Paul F. Koker and her daughter Wynona Smith. Survivors include her daughter Pauletta (Stan) Shutts of Murphy, TX, sons Clinton (Julie) Koker and Philip (Tammy) Koker, both of Wichita; her brother Wilbur Richardson of Pueblo, CO and sister Darlene Esselstyn of Plano, TX. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her. Visitation 1-8 Thursday, family present 6-8, at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 10:30 Friday at West Side Baptist Church, 304 S. Seneca. Memorials have been established with the church and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
