Harold Edward Hunt

Hunt, Harold Edward, 89, retired estimator for Martin K. Eby Construction and member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, died Sunday, August 12, 2012. He was born to James Dudley Hunt and Lois Edna Horsley on September 25, 1922. Visitation 1-8 pm Wednesday, family present 5-7, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Celebration of life will be held at 1 pm Thursday, at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, 5701 E. Mt. Vernon, Wichita. Harold is survived by his daughter Penny Sue (Howard) Walker of Clearwater, son Martin Edward (Sue) Hunt of Derby, and son-in-law Gary Lee Evans of Derby; grandchildren Kenneth Lee (Carrie) Evans of Topeka, Lynn Ann (Bill) Zaitz of Clearwater, Christopher Alan (Sonya) Walker, and Dr. Robin Andrew (Dr. Crystal) Walker, all of Wichita, Mason Eric (Christina) Hunt of Kansas City, MO, and Sara Elizabeth (Cameron) Wilson of Derby; sister Mary Beth Melia of Elkhart, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Dores M. Calhoon Hunt; daughter Pamela Kaye Evans; sister Jewel Brewer; twin brothers Bruce and Jack Hunt; and granddaughter Patricia L. Evans Weber.
