Kessler, Harland R., 92, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was the only child of Harland and Viola Kessler from the Maize and Wichita area. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from Boeing Wichita after over 30 years as a machinist. Visitation 9-4 Monday, Smith Mortuary, Derby. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Jamesburg Park Cemetery, 1801 N. Tyler. Preceding him in death were his parents and one grandson. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret M. (Reiners) Kessler, their 9 children: sons Terry (Debbie) Kessler of Belle Plaine, Larry (Cindy) Kessler of Kingston, Okla., Gerry (Teresa) Kessler of Oxford, Mike (Diane) Kessler of Peck; daughters Kathy (Ed) LeClair of Mulvane, Jackie (John) Warren of Belle Plaine, Patty (Pete) Peterson of Douglass, Becky (Bob) Goin of Mulvane, Diane (Gregg) Woodall of Douglass; 29 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to charity of your choice.
