Grace Olive Mcnown

McNown, Grace Olive, 96, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at LakePoint Nursing Center of Augusta. Visitation 1-8 Sunday, (family present 2-4) at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 am Monday, at First Christian Church of Douglass. Grace was a Douglass resident since 1942, and longtime member of First Christian Church. She was also active in Red Hat Society. Preceded in death by husband Wayne McNown, daughter Virginia Smith, granddaughter Janna McNown, and grandson Michael Dorsett. Survived by son, Jerry (Sandra) McNown; daughters Joyce (Raymond) Kent, Patsy (John) Dorsett, Martha (Gary) Cathey, Jill Dankert, Janet (Billy) Giesen, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with LakePoint Nursing Center Dietary Dept., 901 Lakepoint Dr., Augusta, KS 67010.
