Gordon Long

Long, Gordon, 66, retired Cornejo and Sons superintendent, and co-owner of Beaver Creek Cattle Co., passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday, at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert, wife Dorothy Leesekamp, and his sister Susan Tate. He is survived by his beloved companion Catherine Deal, his mother Mildred, his son Gordon Long II (Shelley), his daughter Shannon McFarland, his siblings Barbara Mayfield, Patti Barscewski (Ron), Brad Long, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Care and Share, 1014 N. 2nd St., Mulvane, KS 67110.
