75, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018. She was born May 11, 1942 in Wichita, KS. Glenda graduated from Emporia State University. She retired from USD 260 after a 50 year career as an elementary teacher. Glenda enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking for her family, and spending time with her friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Houser; father, Gene Farris; and step-father, Veryle Houser. Glenda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Daryl; children, Mark (Melissa) Godown and Melinda Slaughter; grandchildren, Daniella Godown, Ashlynn Godown, Kayla Slaughter, and Taylor Godown; great-grandchildren, Shania Godown, Elijah Godown, and Loma Willis; brother Ray (Tina) Houser; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
