Glen D. Bishop

Glen D. Bishop, Jr. passed away at Harry Hynes Hospice on June 1, 2016 at the age of 54. He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Glen D. Bishop, Sr. and Joann Belle (Griffin) Bishop. In 1998 he married Kathy Marie Johnson who passed away in 2005. On July 28, 2012, he married Rhonda Childs. He was graced with two cherished step-children, daughter Alyssa (David) Wellington and son, Ian Evans and his friend Patricia Spangenberg; two beloved granddaughters, Naddilyn GraceAnne and Kayelyn Marie Wellington. Glen was a life-long electrician and at the time of his death, was a Lead Electrician with Spirit Aerosystems. Glen loved motorcycles and had ridden since he was 12 years old. He and Rhonda had a shared pleasure of taking both short and long trips together on “Pearl”, their 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special and the many other bike enthusiasts that became valued friends along the way. Glen was always known as a loyal and trusted friend. He grew to have a deep love for Jesus and was comforted and assured of his salvation. Glen is also survived by mother, Joann Westfahl of Wichita; sisters, Debbe Scifres and children Brady (Samantha), Chloe (David) Hildreth, Lonnie, Nyaisha, and Stephanie Scifres, of Wichita, Becky Williamson (Kent) and children, Taylor Burnett, Evan and Margaret Williamson, of Dallas, TX; brother, Jason (Lisa) and children Jakob and Emma, of Rockwall, TX; in-laws, Betty and Duane Childs of Sterling, KS; brother-in-law, Kevin (Sharon) Childs of Hutchinson, KS; two great nephews; one great niece. He is preceded in death by his father, Glen D. Bishop, Sr. and step-father, Max Westfahl. Viewing: 2-8pm today. Funeral service: 10am Saturday, June 4, both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S.
