Geraldine Morney

Geraldine Morney, 85, passed away Friday, April 24 at Westview of Derby. Visitation: Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5-8pm at Smith Mortuary, 501 E Louis Blvd, Mulvane. The family will greet friends during this time. Graveside service: 11am Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Udall (KS) Cemetery. Geraldine was born Feb 8, 1930 to Earl and Marie Gilbreath in Arpelar, OK. She was united in marriage to Richard Morney on April 17, 1950 in Franklin, AR. They moved to Kansas in 1951 and worked at Cessna and Boeing until retiring. After retiring, Richard and Geraldine spent several years traveling America in their RV. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Sandy Newman, Arkansas City; Carla Dill (David); Donna Morney; grand-daughters, Corrie Carter and Andy Roberts (Josh); great-grandchildren, Tanner Roberts, Kyler Roberts, Kenadie Carter, all of Udall; siblings, Geneva Kissinger, Derby, Harold Gilbreath (Mary) Udall, Walter Richmond, Tulsa; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marie Gilbreath; step-mother, Roxie Gilbreath; brother, Dwain Gilbreath; sister, Gwendolyn Gilbreath. A memorial is established with Good Shepherd Hospice. Flowers and cards may be sent to the family in care of the mortuary.
