Gerald "Jerry" Burgard

Gerald "Jerry" Burgard, 73, of Mulvane, passed away May 26, 2021. Born May 5 1948 in Rugby, North Dakota, the son of Michael and Magdalena (Bachmeier) Burgard. Jerry worked as a truckdriver for 50 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Roxanne; daughter Marjorie Zywicki, son Steven Zywicki; grandson Collin Zywicki; two sisters, Darlene Blankenship and Marilyn Deeter. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, and by one son, Brandon.

Visitation with the family will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, May 31, at Smith Mortuary in Mulvane. A Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 1 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
