Georgia A. Parsons

Georgia A. Parsons, age 97, former J.C. Penney Associate in El Dorado for 23 years and retired El Dorado Clinic Book keeper for 22 years, died Tuesday May 1, 2012. She was born August 16, 1914 in Council Grove, Kansas the daughter of Daniel and Ida (Belt) Roberts. She married Calvin B. Parsons on May 27, 1937 in Douglass, KS. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado, The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 93, and Special Order of The Beauceant. Funeral service 2:00 PM Friday at First United Methodist Church, 421 W. Central, El Dorado with visitation at 1:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado. Survivors, nephews, Bill (Reba) Smith of Derby, Bill (Gail) Roberts of Stillwater, Okla., Bruce Roberts of Miami, Florida, niece, Sue (Jim) Harmon of Wellington. Memorials to The First United Methodist Church, El Dorado and Vintage Place of El Dorado. Smith Mortuary, Derby has charge of arrangements.
