72, was surrounded by his family as he entered the kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024. He was born May 25th, 1951 to Ralph Williams and Norma Blanton Williams in Erick, Oklahoma.


George graduated from North High School in Wichita in 1969. He enlisted in the Army Reserves in January of 1970. He married the love of his life and his Angel On Earth, Mary Ann Cowden, on April 15, 1972. During their marriage, they were blessed with a daughter and two sons. He supported his family for over 35 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Hahner Foreman & Harness Construction Company. He enjoyed time at the lake, being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cheering on his KU men's Basketball team, and especially spending time with his family.


He was preceded in death by his son, Ronny Williams; his parents, Ralph and Norma Williams; brother, Raymond Williams; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Don and Maxine Cowden.


George is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Williams; children, Demetra Bond (Jason), Randy Williams (Jamie); daughter-in-law, Erica Williams; grandchildren, Katlyn Cantrell (Tommy), Dalton Bond, Sydni Williams, Mason Mull, Courtni Williams, Tallon Mull, Remy Williams; great-grandson, Cole Cantrell; great-granddaughter, Ronnie Cantrell; siblings, Tim Williams (Deloris), John Williams (Diane), Glenn Williams (Patty), Richard Williams (Cindy), Kenny Williams (Jeri); sisters-in-law, Carolyn Keith, Beverly Bickel (Chuck), Rita Miles; brothers-in-law, Don Cowden (Kay), Kenny Cowden; and by many other loving family members and friends.


Visitation: Saturday, January 20th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 South Seneca, Wichita, Kansas 67213. The family will celebrate his life at 3 pm in the ballroom of The Keg, 130 E. Chicago Avenue, Colwich, Kansas 67030.
