George Edward Shaw, Iii

George Edward Shaw, III, 48, passed away August 19, 2025. He was born to George Edward, Jr and Mamie Anna Shaw in San Diego, CA.

Born on March 21, 1977, he was the oldest of two children. He grew up in Mulvane and graduated high school in 1995. Shortly after, he joined the Navy and was stationed in Gaeta, Italy where he became a photographer.

George went on to have two beautiful children, George IV and Chloe.

George loved history, reading, working on vehicles and had a vast knowledge of all types of subjects. His love of music was eclectic, anywhere from instrumental to vocal and across the years. He had such a big heart and would drop everything to help a friend in need. He was very patient, kindhearted, and devoted. When George loved someone, he loved them whole heartedly. George loved working out on the farm and took great pride in all his work. George knew the Bible and enjoyed discussing his faith with others. Without a doubt, he was a Christian and had a personal relationship with his savior Jesus Christ.

Preceded in death by his mother, Mamie and grandparents.

Survivors include his children, George (Julia) Shaw, IV, Chloe Shaw; father, George (Patricia Bales) Shaw, Jr.; siblings, Jimmy (Heather) Shaw; significant other, Misti Bonnes; nephews, Tyler, Sam, Finn and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Service is 1:00pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at South Rock Christian Church, 900 S Rock Road, Derby, KS 67037. Reception to follow at the Mulvane American Legion, 410 SE Louis Dr, Mulvane, KS 67110.
