George Earl Cole

George Earl Cole, age 71, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Visitation will be held 11-1pm Saturday, September 10, 2016, Smith Mortuary – Mulvane, 501 S.E. Louis Blvd. Graveside service following visitation at 2pm at Mulvane Cemetery, Mulvane, KS. A native of Wichita, Kansas, and resident, Mr. Cole died peacefully at home with his family at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Mr. Cole was a self-employed painter for over 40 years as owner of Cole’s Painting and Decorating which was later recognized as Repass Painting. He is survived by one brother, Larry Cole of Hillsboro, Kansas, two sons, Brett Johnson of Oklahoma, and Gregory Gordon of Houston, Texas, two daughters, Kristi Cole and Desiree Clevenger both of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Krystal, Zachary, Heather, Damion, Amber, Chelsea, Kayla, Caitlin, Alyssa and Ciera; great-grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Cheyenne, Jacob, Jackson and Mila. Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Fulcher Cole and his parents, Mary and James F. Meloy. Memorials to: Harry Hynes of Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St. Wichita, KS 67202.
