George Beran

January 5, 1931 — December 10, 2023

Beran, George, 92, of Wichita, formerly of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was born to John and Marie Beran on January 5, 1931 in Wallace, Nebraska. George served in the USMC before moving to Wichita in 1956. He worked at Boeing where he retired as a modification superintendent. He was also a lifetime member of the Marine Corp. League and the American Legion.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cleona "Toni"; siblings, John, Joe and Lillian.

Survivors include his children, Catherine Saunders, Michael (Beth) Beran; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and longtime loyal friend, Jill Guthrie.

Visitation with family is 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, December 14, 2023 and funeral service is 1:30 pm Friday, December 15, 2023 both at Smith Mortuary - Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, Kansas 67060. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Oatville, KS.
