Gene E. Cowing

Gene E. Cowing, age 85, of Derby, retired Boeing Company employee, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, October 9, 2014. Visitation 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Graveside service 2 PM Wednesday, Hillcrest Cemetery, Derby. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Ellery & Nancy Cowing; and his sister, Eris Dobbs. Survivors include his son, Paul, of Derby; and sisters, Arlyce Johnson, of Omaha, NE, and Lavone Blackman, of Hemet, CA. A memorial has been established with Know Your Bible, 4545 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS 67204.
