Michelle Campbell

Gayla “Michelle” Campbell, age 47, passed on Friday, December 17th, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born August 23, 1974 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Rebecca (Lee) Beers and the late Gaylen Beers. Michelle was a 1992 graduate of Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma and went on to study Journalism at Oklahoma State University. After having met in high school, Michelle married Marshall Campbell on September 23, 1995 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Devoted wife and mother, Michelle raised three daughters. She was an avid volunteer her entire adult life, volunteering in her daughters’ schools, at church, and anywhere else she was needed. Michelle was a member of South Rock Christian Church in Derby, Kansas.

Michelle was known for making friends everywhere she went. Michelle was generous and intentional with her time, thoughtful in action, and warm in nature. Where she went, laughter followed.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Marshall Campbell of Derby, Kansas; her children, Carley (Wyatt Houdeshell, Fiancé), Lexi, and Berkley Campbell of Derby, Kansas; her mother, Rebecca Beers of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her sister, Bonnie (Brian) Dudgeon and family of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her brother, David (Emily) Beers and family of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Gaylen Beers.

All whose lives have been touched by Michelle are invited to the visitation on Thursday January 6th, 2022 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd. Derby, KS 67037, from 1-8pm. Family will be present from 5-7pm. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am, Friday January 7th, 2022 at South Rock Christian Church, 900 S Rock Rd. Derby.
