Gary Allan Unkel

Gary Allan Unkel was born December 15, 1941 in Hornick, Iowa, the son of Robert Eugene and Alice Mae “Peggy” (Green) Unkel. He passed from this life on February 3, 2024, in Derby, Kansas, at the age of 82.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jaynice Pyle, brothers Daryl and Robin Unkel, and nephews Bobby and Joshua Unkel.

He is survived by his sister Pamela Warren of Derby, brothers Jonn Unkel, Curtis (Barbara) Unkel, both of Derby, Randal (Billie) Unkel of Green Valley, Arizona, and Kevin (Connie) Unkel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, sisters-in-law Fifi Unkel and Kathy Unkel, brother-in-law Leo Pyle, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday, February 5, at Smith Mortuary in Derby. Private family services will be held later.
