Gary Swaney

Derby - Swaney, Gary 77, passed away Wednesday, May 9th, 2018. He was a member of the Mason Lodge, and belonged to the Midian Shrine and participated in the “Tin Lizzies”. Gary retired from Boeing as a Sheet Metal Fabricator and was a former Insurance salesman with Security Mutual Life. Gary was an avid gardener, he was the vegetable man! He also enjoyed games of chance, often winning at the casino and lottery with his Irish luck!

Visitation: Monday, May 14th, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with family greeting friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mava Swaney. Gary is survived by his daughter, Renee Swaney, Lisa Swaney; grandchildren, Alexa Lopez, Stephen Brubaker, Matthew Brubaker; siblings, Jimmy Swaney, Ronny Swaney, Rex Swaney, JoAnn Linot, Roberta Arwine, and Judy New.
