Gary Lee Evans

Derby - Evans, Gary Lee 80, passed away Sunday, February 12th, 2023. He was born December 29th, 1942 to Ralph and Viola (Blanck) Evans in Wichita, KS. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend. He was a retired avionics technician for Honeywell Corp. and had served in the Air National Guard for many years. He was an avid wood carver and enjoyed teaching and sharing his craftsmanship. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife: Pamela (Hunt) Evans; daughter: Patricia Evans-Weber & his father & mother-in-law: Harold & Dores Hunt. Gary is survived by his Son: Kenneth (Carrie) Evans of Topeka; grandchildren: Nicholas Evans of Birmingham, AL; Dillon Evans of San Angelo, TX; Ryan Brown of Topeka, Kyson Evans of Topeka; Sister: Connie (Cecil) Box of Wichita; sister-in-law: Penny (Howard) Walker of Clearwater, KS; brother-in-law: Marty (Sue) Hunt of Derby; numerous other relatives & friends. Viewing: Thursday, February 16th, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Memorial Service: 1:00 pm, Friday, February 17th, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of Derby 324 N. Baltimore Derby, Kansas 67037.
