Gary E. Branine

Gary E. Branine, 71, passed away Sunday morning, Dec 4, 2011 at his home in Edwards, Missouri. He was born on August 14, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas to Paul D. and Jennie Marie Ludwick Branine. He grew up in Wichita and also in Pacific Beach, California, returning to Douglass, KS where he graduated from high school in 1958. He graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS where he played football and wrestled. In 1960, he was married to Della Jolene Moyer and unto this union, two sons were born. He worked first for his father at Branine Chevrolet in Mulvane, Kansas buying the business in the mid 1970’s. He retired from the car business in 1993. In 1973, he was united in marriage to Anita J. Rich and they made their home in Mulvane, KS. Anita preceded him in death in 1994. On December 31, 1994, he married Judith Ramsay and they moved to Warsaw, Missouri in 1995. While living in Warsaw he enjoyed being an OATS Driver for the area. They later moved to Edwards, Missouri in 2008. After moving to Edwards, Gary worked as a real estate agent for Highland Reality near Camdenton. He was a member of the Mulvane Masonic Lodge and the Ararat Shrine. He loved to dance and enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Judi, of the home; two sons, Terry Branine (Lori) of Mulvane, KS and Jeff Branine (Susan) also of Mulvane; step-children, Curtis Wayne Rich (Amy) of Wichita, KS; Debbie Mitchell of Perry, OK; Lance Ramsay, of Atlanta, GA., Debi Lesperance (Ted) of Greensburg, KS; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don Branine, of Warsaw, MO., and Roger Branine, of Wichita, KS; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO with Bill Roberts officiating. Funeral services will also be held Friday, December 9, 2011, at 2:00pm. at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central, Mulvane. Viewing will be prior to services at the church from 1-2pm.
