70, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born April 5, 1951 to Albert Boyd and Delores Hopkins in Newton, Kansas.

Gary Boyd was a lifetime entrepreneur in pursuit of the American Dream. His love for his family and friends was shown through continuous food deliveries and assistance whenever he could find the way. He enjoyed spending his time as a young man bowling with friends, enjoying the outdoors, fishing, hunting and bringing his family together. In his latter years, Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A hard worker, Gary claimed he would climb a ladder until the day he died and didn’t disappoint in his promise.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and two sisters.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cathy Boyd; children, Crystal and Cesar Chambers, Cory and Mandy Boyd, Terry and Gerri Sturchio, Shane (Sturchio) and Vince Pata; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, December 6, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037.
